Thank you for your interest in Church Planting in the Puget Sound area.  Below you will find the materials necessary for your application and/or assessment process to be considered to join in this effort:

Please follow the instructions on the Church Planting Application.  Prompt response by you and your references is essential to a timely application/assessment.  A minimum of five returned reference forms is necessary for completing the assessment process.  Please email out reference form below to seven individuals.  The Seattle Church Planting Group suggests that you personally contact seven individuals to notify them that you are sending the reference form and to ask them to complete the form.  The quickest way for your references to respond is to send the completed form back by email or fax (both are listed on the reference form).  If you are mailing the reference forms, make seven copies of the attached reference form and send it with a reply envelope addressed to Seattle Church Planting.  Sending seven forms will help insure that we receive at least five references in a timely manner.  References are to be sealed and returned to Seattle Church Planting at the address noted on the reference form.  Please note, these references are needed even if you have previously been assessed.

If you have not previously been assessed an assigned assessor and/or a Church Planting Strategist will review your materials after your application, references, and other requested materials (resume, photo, spiritual gifts assessment, preaching videotape or audio tape) are received.   Upon review of the materials, they will determine whether to proceed with a phone interview.  If the phone interview produces the desired result, then a 4-hour assessment interview is scheduled.

When the entire assessment process is complete we will be able to determine if we are to partner together with you in planting a church.  Our assessment process is not intended to tell you if God is calling you to plant, but instead is to help The Seattle Church Planting Group determine if we are to partner with you.  You will discover that the results of the assessment will greatly benefit you as you begin making future plans.
