Imago Dei - John Kim: Northend, WA
|
Imago Dei
The vision of Imago Dei is to lead our generation into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Imago Dei is about the great need that exists today of reconnecting the church and community in a way that makes the church both real and reachable. We believe that the church can only accomplish this by turning outward and loving those around us the way Jesus loved the world: not just in words, but also in deeds. Imago Dei is a casual, “come as you are,” multi-ethnic, third-culture, contemporary Christian church. We have a passion for the arts, so music and media are a big part of the way we communicate. As a “high-definition” church we focus on bringing God into crystal-clear focus for those who are far from Him.
The "Northend" is a fast, expansive, growing area north of Seattle. This area consists of Bothell, Mill Creek, Lynnwood, Edmonds, Everett, Mill Creek and Snohomish. With expansion in business, education, and civic institutions many new families that represent a broader multi-ethnic community have moved into the "Northend." This is an exciting time where a population boom has recently occurred and more and more people are moving to the "Northend."

About The Kims
John and Sol have been married for over 13 years and have three beautiful children (Ethan, Audrey, and Emma). They have served in ministries together in Dallas, Minneapolis, and Seattle. Their passion for their neighbors, friends, and the community (all of which are unchurched) has led them to this exciting journey to see a new church planted in the "Northend" of Seattle, Washington, beginning in 2009.
