About SoundLife
SoundLife Church’s mission is to “Grow love for God and all people through growing Christ-centered communities.” Our guiding values are “Love, Truth, Community, Mission.” We held our first weekly service in the Spring of 2003. Since then our congregation, which mainly consists of young families with connections to the military, has been meeting for weekly worship in a middle school and a movie theater. Our regular Sunday morning attendance runs between 80 and 90 people.
Lacey-Dupont is a growing suburban area with an extremely high percentage of young military families due to its close proximity to Fort Lewis and McChord Air Force Base. The area is transitioning economically (with new developments regularly appearing among existing lower income neighborhoods) and racially (from 98% Caucasian in 1970s to 67% today). Very few people are actively involved in an evangelical church. Most are very involved in outdoors recreation.

Rich and Cheryl Whitaker live in Dupont with their children, Truman, Andrew, and Catherine. Thame and Suzi Fuller live in Lacey with their children, Rebecca, Ryan and Nicole. Rich’s primary ministry focus is leadership and organization. Thame focuses on preaching and teaching.
