Today's
churches are uniquely positioned to fulfill their
worldwide mission through an Acts 1:8 vision.
Understanding that the local church is at the very
center of God's heart for reaching the world, there
churches are mapping out their "Jerusalem, Judea,
Samaria, and the ends of the earth." They are
discovering that they can literally change their
world. Has your church mapped out its strategy in
obedience to the Acts 1:8 challenge? One
portion of your strategy could be Seattle. In this
ethnically diverse area, less than 4% of the population
are involved in an evangelical church. Less than
1% are Southern Baptist. God is changing the
spiritual climate of this region, and you can be a part
of the process.
Church leaders of capable mission-minded churches are
invited to participate in a Seattle Vision Tour.
The schedule for a tour would look something like this:
Day One
Morning Arrive
in Seattle (SeaTac Airport - Airport Code: SEA)
Noon
Lunch and Orientation
Afternoon/Evening Tour Church Planting
Locations
Day Two
Morning/Afternoon Tour
Church Planting Locations
Late Afternoon/Evening Debrief, Depart
Seattle
You
are welcome to come early or stay late (at your own
expense, of course). Enjoy the sights of Seattle,
even with the occasionally rainy weather
(really)...maybe even visit one or two of our church
plants on Sunday. Where
needed, scholarships of $600 per church are available
towards the travel, meals, transportation and lodging of
one church leader (some limitations may apply). We also encourage your church to cover the
cost for an additional leader to participate, if
possible...a vision shared is a vision multiplied.
Please register and allow us to contact you before
securing travel/lodging arrangements. We
also ask that you begin thinking of leaders in other
churches who need to be involved in kingdom growth and
how you can share your experiences with them.
Please
understand that by participating in the Vision Tour that
you are communicating a very strong interest in leading
your church or association to partner with a Seattle
area church plant. Although you are waiting for God's
confirmation, you are anticipating that He is leading
you in the direction of partnering.
